Testimonials

He thoroughly enjoyed himself and came out on his first day saying “it was such fun!” What more can a parent ask for?

He was inspired by the ideas for play – assisting with real work tools, riding scooters round a chalk road in the playground, playing with water tables and equipment and obviously enjoyed himself immensely as well as learning.

You and your team are doing a really good job at stimulating the children at the preschool in a really fun and caring way.

My daughter started the pre school in September, and it is honestly the best decision we made moving her from her previous nursery. O was born two months premature so has had lots of appointments for hearing, sight etc. The nursery have been absolutely fantastic and they take the time to understand her medical needs.
The nursery’s communication is brilliant, you cannot fault them. There are regular updates on Tapestry, emails and always a friendly face at the door at drop off and pick up that is always willing to have a chat with you. Since starting at the pre school O has come on leaps and bounds and I genuinely believe that is because of the hard work and dedication put in by the staff. Her confidence has flourished and it’s so wonderful as a parent to see your child excited about their learning and going to nursery.
The nursery have a brilliant range of activities which they take part in in large groups, independently and small groups. This has allowed O to build confidence to try new activities and show independence, resilience and perseverance, which we are also seeing outside of nursery.
She has also built up some beautiful friendships while at nursery which has allowed her to become aware and begin to understand her own feelings and those of others around her something I don’t think would of happened without the help support and teaching from the staff at the pre school.
As a parent you put the trust into professionals to look after you child, the pre school is like a second home for both O and myself, and I don’t think you could find another setting that cares and tries to help in the way they do. Not only do they support her but they support you as a family. O is my last child but I will always recommend the pre school to everyone.

I can genuinely say that we LOVE the Village Preschool, Nicky and her team are like a true family and I am always confident our daughter is given the care and support she needs when she attends. We are kept informed of the activities which she takes part in, which she loves as they are varied, adventurous, educational (at an appropriate level) and fun. I could not be happier with her social development and learning progress since she has joined the preschool and would not hesitate (and do) to recommend to fellow parents, the Preschool is a real asset to our community.

Thank you for providing such a warm, nurturing, and incredible Pre-school. Both our children have benefitted and grown so much from being there and we are so grateful to you all for providing such a safe, stimulating and caring environment for them.

Thank you so much for being so accommodating regarding my son’s delayed start with you due to the pandemic. The change we have seen in him over the last few months has been amazing and this is all due to the hard work everyone puts in at your wonderful Pre-school. We were so impressed with the gentle way you settled him into Pre-school, you really put his feelings first. We will certainly be recommending your lovely Pre-school to other parents

The Village Preschool has been an excellent setting for our Son he very much enjoys his time there with the varied activities offered. He has learnt many new skills and is really fond of all of his teachers. As parents we feel very confident that our son is supported and that his well being is important. We would recommend to all family and friends with preschoolers

Thank you for giving our daughter a lovely, safe and happy environment for her to grow. She is so happy to go to Pre-school and adores telling us all about her day. We were so happy for her to follow in her big sister’s footsteps, that even though it’s over 4 years later, you are still our 1st choice.

I just want to say thank you for looking after my 3 boys whilst at Pre-school. You always made it feel like an extension of our house. I’ve always loved the homely feel, and the genuine affection shown to all of us

I am mother to 1 child currently attending pre school and 2 who have left (now year 2 and year 1).

I started with VPS as my son was currently attending a preschool elsewhere who couldn’t cope with his needs.

H started and it was very clear very quickly there was more going on none of us could understand. However the staff at the preschool never judged him, always supported and helped him in the best possible way and always encouraged using words to tell them how he was feeling. SALT was brought in to see ways that could help and letters sent to the GP asking for referral to a community paediatric. H will still ask to go back to preschool because he loved it there. He was always included in all activities even when he struggled to do so and always ended up enjoying them. He had the best support throughout preschool which I believed helped towards him starting reception.

F also was showing signs of more going on for him. He again was supported in every way and encouraged to use words. He will also still ask to go back. SALT and letters to help for a referral were also sent to our GP. His needs were very different to H, but staff quickly saw that and implemented ways that would help him.

O, the child currently attending, needs some support due to having 3 brothers with autism, ADHD and sensory issues. However all staff are supportive and help him when he is struggling a little. He’s always happy to go in to preschool. When he first started he was really behind with his speech. A hearing test ruled out he had any issues, so a SALT assessment was done. However his speech came on in leaps with the time spent there. He was also supported with potty training.

All my children over the time at the village pre school have all been kept safe, happy, and learning whilst supporting complex needs. O will be leaving this year as he starts reception in September and I will honestly be so sad to have to say goodbye to the staff that I see everyday.

I believe without the village preschool, my children would have struggled more so with the step to school, however because early intervention was implemented, they had the best start after leaving.
